Tagish Charlie (Dawson Charlie, Kaa Goox) - Nephew of Skookum Jim and Kate Carmack, Tagish Charlie was a Stick Indian, and spent his summers and winters with his family in Alaska's Interior regions. Charlie had the good fortune of accompanying Jim and Carmack on their trip up to Rabbit Creek in 1896, where the three discovered the Klondike gold strike. Charlie became a one-third partner and staked a claim just downstream from Carmack.

Charlie became known for being a diligent but likable man (who could be friendly with the bottle) in Dawson City, but did not desire the celebrity status. After a few trips to Seattle and California with Carmack and Jim, Charlie moved back to his native village in Carcross, Alaska and lived a quiet life.
