KK_Tools version .004 - ataylor@kokogiak.com
By following the 4 steps below, you can add right-click capabilities to your version of Internet Explorer (version 4.0 or greater).
1. Click here to install Kokogiak Tools (opens a .reg file * )
2. Choose "Open this file..." option, then click OK.
3. Close down all instances of IE4/5 (if open)
4. Restart IE4/5 - you're set.
(5). If things don't work right away, close and reopen IE4 one more time. - If that fails, restart machine, everything should work then.
* (To view the text of the .reg file, click here.)
Works only in IE4/5, and only while online.
KK Image Weight (Can be buggy. Script errors about 1 out of 10 pages - working on it)
Right-click on any text or white space, choose "KK Image Weight" from pop-up menu - a child window will pop up with a thumbnail of every unique image on the page. It will also tell you the total number of unique images and the total download file size (rounded up to nearest 1k) for all images (not including any background image(s) or images used as submit buttons).
KK Toggle Tables
Right-click on any text or white space, choose "KK Toggle Tables" from pop-up menu - all table borders on the page will be turned on (or off, depending on how they were set when clicked). If performance seems slow, it's likely the page has a lot of tables, and your PC is working hard to process through them.
KK Toggle Images
Right-click on any text or white space, choose "KK Toggle Images" from pop-up menu - all images on the page will have their visibility set to "off", (or "on", depending on how they were set when clicked), hiding them from view or bringing them back.
KK Image Info
Right-click on any image, choose "KK Image Info" from pop-up menu - a child window will pop up with every bit of info you'd ever want about that image -- height, width, file size, source, HTML tag, link destination (if any), name, id and the image itself. (does not always work with image-mapped images, backgrounds and images used as submit buttons).
KK Web Search
Select any text, right-click on selected text, choose "KK Web Search" from pop-up menu - a new window pops up with Google Search results (first 20 hits) based on selected text.
KK 640_480
Right-click anywhere, choose "KK 640_480", and the browser window (whole browser) will be resized to 640x480. (Caveat - if the browser is maximized when you click this, it will still think it's maximized after the click - even though it's small. It just takes two clicks to maximize again instead of one).
